My love for the outdoors was instilled in me by my parents, who took my sister and I hiking and camping starting when we were young. I never lost that joy of experiencing nature, and have been an active outdoors person through adulthood. Whether with my brother, friends, or as part of the Sierra Club or the Appalachian Mountain Club, I get out on the trails whenever possible.

My first international trip was through England, Scotland and Ireland in 1994. So began my wanderlust to visit places far and wide, and I have been extremely fortunate to have been able to take many amazing trips over the years.
