The professional part:
I studied graphic design in college, and have
worked for all sorts of companies, so I have a varied design
background. I sew and make crafts and art has always been a part
of me since I was little and took Saturday morning drawing classes.
But work isn't everything, so here's a peek into what else
makes
me tick:
The personal part:
Things I really like: Ice cream,
It's my favorite food group. Burgers and
fries, ask to see my
cell phone photo gallery sometime.
Irish music, I've been attending
the Celtic festivals in the NY/NJ/PA/CT area for a few years
now, and I've made some great
friendships, seen some of the most talented musicians around,
and collected
enough memories to last a long time. Yoga,
it's good for the body and soul. Travel,
it's a big world out there, and there's alot of it I'd like to
visit. Animals, I grew up with
all kinds - dogs, cats, mice, fish,
horses,
ponies… adopt a shelter pet today! Beer,
it goes great with almost anything, and you never run out of
new brews to try.
Outdoor activities like camping,
hiking, kayaking, biking, roller blading, picnics, concerts,
movies under the stars… And
that's only the beginning!
What's
that sprial in the background?
The spiral symbolizes the Koru - a Mauri
symbol of new beginnings, growth and harmony. It is derived
from the curled up stalk
of a baby fern, which unwinds as it grows. I encountered this
symbol in my travels to New Zealand, and it spoke to me and
where I am in my life now, seeking harmony, growth and new beginnings.
